Ice Cold Love – is a male vocal group originally from Youngstown, Ohio. The members are Nasheed “Ulysses” Bowens, Jerome McElroy, and new member Royal Bayyan. They specialize in “Truly Classical Harmonies” to the newest and most contemporary “Old School” sounds one can find in today’s market… Their driving style is like “BLUE MAGIC”, “RAY, GOODMAN & BROWN” and “THE DELFONICS” Songs reminiscent of “CHARLIE WILSON” “R-KELLY” & “BRUNO MARS”… OLE SKOOL” With a modern twist!
Jerome McElroy (aka) Jake an original member has always been a part of the group over 35 years. He loves to take the” Lead” on stage and “off”. He was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. Jake prides himself with being a premiere choreographer oriented performer. His moves compare with the likes of the O’Jays, The Temps (In their prime) and the “Jackson 5”… Although – His code name is “ICE”, He has the warmest heart and is the glue of the TRIO.
Nasheed “Ulysses” Bowens (aka) Blue (code name “LOVE”) another original member, has been a part of the group for over 35 years. He has a “Passion” for music and singing! He was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. However, relocated many years ago… Nasheed is the writer and lead vocalist on the group’s 1st two singles “Sheer Magic” & “Wonderful To Be Loved”. He not only brings a “Unique Harmonious Tone” to the group but also a “welcoming smile”. Blue’s love for music started at an early age of 11, while listening to Motown songs with his older sister and singing at family events. He naturally chose center stage with “Ice Cold Love”… Nasheed is very intellectual and a conversationalist by far…
Royal Bayyan (aka) RB originally was a guitarist in Ice Cold Love’s band in the 70’s. Royal’ is also former (guitarist & vocals) of “Kool & the Gang” & Founding member of “The Forecast”, released on RCA Records with Production Partners (Adil & Amir Bayyan)… As a skilled Musician, Songwriter, Producer & Personal Manager of numerous artists and projects, Royal has received multiple Awards & Recognitions.
Royal has also developed & produced superstar solo artists like Freddie Jackson, MeLisa Morgan, Gerald Alston and groups such as “Ray, Goodman & Brown” and “Color Me Badd” who’s debut album, bagged over 6.5 million record sales & generating over $51 Million in revenue for the film production “New Jack City” Sound Track… He is notably credited for mentoring and developing superstar music producer “Teddy Riley”, the KING of “NEW JACK SWING”. So, when the opportunity came to produce and be a performing member of the group and develop “The Ice Cold Love Musical Story” he was “All-In”. “Heartfelt Things” And “The Ice Cold Love Story” is a dream come true project for the whole team!
